Instructions for Class Blog

My requirements have changed. The revised requirements are that:
1. You must make on trial post to the Class Blog in January. I will comment on whether I think you are correctly addressing the assignment and make suggestions if necessary.
2. You must make two posts in February, March and April.
3. You must make at least two comments on at least two other students' posts in January.
4. You must comment on at least four other posts (by other students) during each month: February, March and April.
5. Where appropriate, you must include links to useful web sites.
6. Where appropriate you must include a picture. For example, if you are talking about a specific technology or a specific product, include a picture.
7. You should think of this assignment in this way: I am engaged in a conversation with other students and my professor about how technology can be used in classrooms in general and specifically in MY classroom (the ones you are in now or that you will be teaching in 2 years). You will have to some research as part of this process. You will also have to THINK about the issues that are involved.

Instructions For Personal Blogs

• You must make at least one post every week beginning in Week 3-January 23 through the last week of classes
• Every post must consist of 3 parts:
a. A statement identifying something of significance that you learned during the previous week
b. One or two paragraphs describing how you learned what you learned
c. One or two sentences describing how you will use your new knowledge
• You must check the spelling and grammar for all posts. There should be no errors.
• You should include a picture or pictures where appropriate

Example 1:
This week I learned that Cezanne not only painted landscapes but he also painted portraits.

I learned this from my friend, Dr. Michael Hanna. He is taking an art course in which the assignment is to emulate a famous artist and to try and produce a work that even experts would attribute to the artist. He chose Cezanne and Cezanne’s portraits. He showed me several from an art book he had checked out of the library.

I will look for Cezanne’s portraits so that I can learn more about them. I also want to see how successful Mike is (in my opinion) with his assignment.

IMPORTANT Pen Drive Instructions

To remove a pen drive:

1. Close all applications!
2. At the bttom right of your screen, locate the icon of a green arrow on top of something. Click. Click Remove Pen Drive. You should then get an OK to remove the pen (USB) drive. ONLY then remove it. If nothing works, shut down the computer. You can then safely remove the pen drive.

Three Important Things About Scanning

1. When you scan, be sure you are only scanning the picture, not the entire bed of the scanner. The picture should be selected (have "running mice" or a selection box around it).

2. You MUST save your picture as a JPEG (file type) and you MUST add .jpg after the name you give the picture. Example: boy.jpg

3. NAME your picture using only lowercase letters and numbers. DO NOT USE SPACES.
